End of Over No.20 176/7 Last Over (10 runs)

11:15pm And that is it from our live coverage. It was great having you along for this incredible game. See you soon!

Shane Watson is the Man of the Match.

Moeed: “I hope i won’t be the only to think that this is the best PSL edition so far.. on par with the top franchise leagues..”

Naseef: “WATTO team player!! Haven’t bowled for a long time, team needs him to bowl one of the most crucial overs of the campaign and he obliged!!”

Umar Butt: “”Elementary my dear Watson” says Wilko. Cracking me up”

Syed Hasan: “What an all round performance by Watson. Massive respect for him. First he came to Pakistan for his team and now taking the last over responsibility for his team.”

Amir: “Yeahhhhhh that’s what exactly I have mentioned and he has delivered it. Shane Watson you beauutttyyyyyy”

Khan Mudasir: “Finally we can say OLD IS GOLD.. LOVE YOU WATSON”

Usman Khalid: “Teams usually lose games because of their fifth/Part time bowlers but Quetta’s part timers have brought Quetta back in the game whenever they bowled!”

10:59 pm What a finish. Quetta Gladiators have held on. With two part-timers, and one spinner who’s lost a tooth. You don’t usually do that in T20 cricket. But they have and they go through to the final. Shane Watson with a massive, massive contribution towards that. Destroyed Zalmi at the start of the batting innings and returned selflessly at the end to keep Zalmi quiet yet again. Bowling after nearly a year and with hardly any legs to take half his normal run-up, he’s pulled it off for them. What a player. He spoke of the fast bowling depth in Pakistan before this match, but he’s given them something to look at. Superb effort from Sammy and Pollard at the end, but Hasnain and Nawaz had done splendidly to give Zalmi no momentum at all at the start of their chase.

19.6 1 Watson to Hasan Ali full at off stump, mistimed drive to long-on 1 run
19.5 2 Watson to Hasan Ali mistimed and to long-off’s left! That is it, surely? Short of a length outside off, slices it to that fielder’s left. The throw comes back, and Sarfraz asks his local crowd to clap for his team. They’ve held on 2 runs
19.4 W Watson to Wahab Riaz they’ve got Sammy! A length ball outside off, there to be hit, but Wahab is beaten on the swish. Sarfraz gather and underarms it onto the stumps as Sammy looks to plonk his bat in. He’s well short. Viv Richards overjoyed on the touchline OUT
DJG Sammy run out 46 (21b 2×4 5×6) SR: 219.04

You wanted drama? Here is some more: Wahab Riaz with the bat, Watson with the ball. Watson is not going to be bowling bouncers, I can tell you…

19.3 W Watson to Pollard the top of middle stump! Oh Watson, you beauty! Sheepish grin, but has he done it for his team? Length ball on middle. Pollard loses his shape completely as he looks to slog this and his stumps are damaged OUT
KA Pollard b Watson 44 (22b 6×4 1×6) SR: 200.00
19.2 6 Watson to Pollard sends him over midwicket! Length ball, not troubling Pollard with that pace. On his pads, swivels and sends it flying. His first six of the night SIX

Watson, about ten steps now, his run up

19.1 1 Watson to Sammy length and in at leg stump. Gets the front leg out of the way and heaves it to deep square off the inside half 1 run

Twenty one off six! Can you believe Zalmi are still in this? Quetta can’t. They’re having a massive discussion…and they’ve convinced Shane Watson to take the ball! This is superb from the verteran. He hasn’t bowled in AGES. Since IPL last year. But it was him or it was Ahsan, or Rossouw. He says gimme it. Here we go…

End of Over No.19 166/5 Last Over (14 runs)

18.6 1 Bravo to Sammy low full toss on leg stump, sliced off the toe-end to extra cover 1 run
18.5 6 Bravo to Sammy fool me twice! Sammy knows what’s coming this time! A slower ball at a length and he waits for it in the crease. Waits and waits and waits and pummels this, all core strength, off the back foot and over long-on. Superb. Just superb. SIX

Tell you what, Zalmi will be happy chasing 20 against a part-timer in the last over.

18.4 0 Bravo to Sammy beats him on the inside edge. Superb. Digs another slower ball into the pitch, short of a length, and that length is virtually unhittable. Cuts in past the pull shot and rises over middle stump no run
18.3 6 Bravo to Sammy huuuuuuuuge! Oh Bravo, what have you done! Two top deliveries followed by an overpitched ball on leg stump. Sammy doesn’t miss out on those. Pumps it 93 metres in the direction of long-on SIX

Mokee: “Heart rate has gone into triple digits now…”

18.2 0 Bravo to Sammy skids under the bat! Slower ball, short of a length and skids through at knee height past off stump! He was looking to hit that at waist height no run
18.1 0 Bravo to Sammy lovely! A yorker at leg stump. Sammy swings, but this comes back down the pitch off the toe-end no run
18.1 1 Bravo to Sammy slower ball out of control. Very short and very wide. Left alone 1 wide

In the end, a good over from Tanvir in an otherwise below par spell. 36 needed off 12. Can Bravo leave enough for the man who will bowl the last over?

End of Over No.18 152/5 Last Over (9 runs)

17.6 1 Sohail Tanvir to Sammy short of a length on off stump, cramped and can only pull along the floor to long-on 1 run
17.5 1 Sohail Tanvir to Pollard slower short ball coming in at the body. Looks to pull and cops it on the body 1 leg bye
17.4 1 Sohail Tanvir to Sammy yorker length at leg stump, hurriedly jabbed to long-on 1 run
17.3 4 Sohail Tanvir to Sammy low full toss sliced over point and short third. Not in control, but there’s no one behind there. But once again, poor bowling. Knee height full toss with a lot of width outside off FOUR
17.2 1 Sohail Tanvir to Pollard length at off stump, opens the face and runs it to point 1 run

Owais: “Sirfraz should give ball to a spinner here these two are too good against pace”

17.1 1 Sohail Tanvir to Sammy length outside off, mistimed punch to long-off 1 run

Tanvir around the wicket

End of Over No.17 143/5 Last Over (14 runs)

16.6 2 Mohammad Hasnain to Pollard this is extremely ordinary cricket from Quetta. Length ball outside off, defended to short third man who misfields and allows a run. Then puts in a wild throw that gives them another run in the leg side. From there – another throw. This ends up at sweeper cover and they have half a chance to take three. They don’t. Sarfraz asking his fielders to calm down. 2 runs
16.5 4 Mohammad Hasnain to Pollard proper connection this time! Low full toss outside off, Pollard stands tall and just opens the face to get this drive to Shehzad’s left at long-off. No chance this time, this is whistling past him FOUR
16.4 4 Mohammad Hasnain to Pollard a sprint, a dive, a tumble and at the end of it all, Pollard picks up four after being completely deceived by the bowler. There is no justice sometimes. Length ball outside off, wants to drive through the line but ends up chipping it to Shehzad’s left at long-off with one hand. Brilliant effort there but he’s beaten by his own momentum FOUR
16.3 2 Mohammad Hasnain to Pollard full and angled in at leg stump. Flicked to deep square’s left 2 runs
16.2 1 Mohammad Hasnain to Sammy a misfield. Woeful from Tanvir. Length ball slanting in at leg stump. Looks to flick and gets it off the back leg. Trickles slowly to the fielder who takes his eyes off it and lets it pass 1 run
16.1 1 Mohammad Hasnain to Pollard length at off stump, leans in and flicks to deep midwicket 1 run

Hasnain now

End of Over No.16 129/5 Last Over (22 runs)

Hassaan Raza: “This game may look out of reach for Peshwar but if anyone can win Peshawar the game its 2 West Indian legends.”

15.6 6 Bravo to Sammy smokes it over the cover boundary! They can’t, surely?! Sammy stays deep in the crease and carves this overpitched ball outside off. Bravo has completely lost his length there and this partnership has now given an almighty scare to Quetta. Wow. SIX
15.5 6 Bravo to Sammy just over the long boundary! Length and into the pads – this isn’t normal for Bravo. But picking them off is daily business for Darren Sammy. Uses the angle, uses the pace, whips it over short fine and eventually over the boundary padding SIX
15.4 1 Bravo to Pollard slower ball, full toss on middle stump. Lines up for the swing but adjusts and taps to long-on 1 run
15.3 4 Bravo to Pollard to long-on’s right! This is a poor length from Bravo. Overpitched and in at leg stump. Pollard has set up deep in the crease and, despite mis-hitting this with a turning bat, has got enough to beat the fielder FOUR

Amir: “Quetta should give that one over to Shane Watson to make it to get a good value as the experience he has he will bowl it will full Heart”

15.2 1 Bravo to Sammy length at leg stump, slogged along the floor to deep midwicket 1 run
